Appel à communications : Annual Meeting of the Association of Nahuatl Scholars In Honor of R. Joe Campbell
The Association of Nahuatl Scholars 2024 meeting will be held April 25-27 at Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. We hope to arrange a viewing of relevant materials at the Lilly Library.
A formal call for papers will be issued in a few months, once final details have been arranged.
In preparing for the meeting, the Association seeks two types of presentations.
- Nahuatl Documents
As always, we hope that a significant portion of the time will be dedicated to the group study of original Nahuatl language manuscripts. This is a unique opportunity in which most of the leading scholars of Nahuatl collaborate to assist with difficult words and passages. It is one of the most rewarding and exciting parts of the conference. Submissions of documents or passages for analysis are strongly encouraged. These sessions will be allotted one hour each.
- Scholarly Presentations
Those interested in presenting a scholarly research paper on some aspect of Nahuatl, Nahua ethnohistory, art history of the Nahua, or any other topic having to do with Nahuatl or the Nahua will be asked to submit a proposal to one of the organizers. Each presentation should be twenty minutes long and allow for at least ten minutes of discussion.
